Shanghai Municipal Commission of Population and Family Planning (SMCPFP)
SMCPFP is directly under the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and in charge of work on population and family planning. Up till now, a five-level network has been constructed with more than 250 service stations at the community level, and nearly 5,000 guidance offices at the village level. One of its major duties is to provide individual and scientific guidance for new and expectant parents and young families with babies up to the age of six. Thousands of Maternity Baby Care Manual are delivered to families with babies for free in every three months. In the past yearsa number of exhibitions on baby bearing & nurturing have been successfully held with the attendance of more than 3 millions persons.
